I found it less ergonomic than the r36s, as i saw in so many reviews. I prefer r1 r2 l1 l2 on the back like the r36s.
It's the v21 version with panel 4 and comes with arkos2. 0 02092025 (r36h v52 64g) - r36h (v20)
Apart from the 50gb microsd card size, at least it seems to be original.
Only thing worth noting is it doesn't have an fn button which is fine if you use the community arkos it allows you to set it as r36h which means it will function fine without that button

Very complete for the price it costs
There are many good games missing from my microSD, so I bought one of better quality and I'm getting the ones I like the most to make it perfect. You can get a lot of juice from this machine.

Doesn't run Dreamcast games well, even gets hot but is amazing for GBA, Super Nintendo, Mega Drive, and Arcade games
For the price I paid, I don't see how it could be better. The controls are great and the battery lasts quite a bit in 2D games.
If you are going to buy, also buy a memory card, as the one that comes with it works only a few times before stopping and not even letting the console turn on. Take a backup and use any other card that is not from China.

Will clone the sd card to a new samsung card as i heard the included cards aren't reliable. Hardware is great otherwise and prompt delivery.

P.s. Don't forget to change the device type in the arkos settings in case of flashing.

I just inserted the existing R36s set SD card and used it.
It seems to be a newer model and so works perfectly out the box, but requires the new multipanel method for flashing a new sd card. The stock sd is unbranded and i would recommend replacing with a samsung or other compatible card.

The instructions could be more comprehensive. We needed something until we could completely turn off the console for the first time.
Furthermore, unlike in the pictures, the user manual and the website clearly indicate that there is an HDMI connection for transmission to the television. Unfortunately, this was one point why the product was purchased. Therefore, I am somewhat disappointed.
But it does have a lot of old games and a few slightly newer ones. Ocarina of time - lags, both sound and game is stuttering, so i doubt you could enjoy it. Stardew valley works great though.

Most games work well except for some Nintendo 64 and PSP games.
Btw, the console itself make strange noise like "shhhrrrrrr" even with sound off. Some games can't be played like metal slug (even if you download them yourself). It freezes when the game is a little bit bigger (stardew valley)

Works well, well made. Lots of games is the understatement of the decade. Reliving some memories of duke nukem and need for speed amongst others. Recommend this, a little more cerebral than the fidget spinner fad.
The otg connector has really made it for me. I managed to install do docker on it, but i need to uplift the kernel, so that is my current activity. As a mini computer it's brilliant!!! I thoroughly recommend!

Note that the grip and handling is better in the r36h than in a r36s.
Don't fall for the pictures and advertising of a hdmi output port. It doesn't come such a port. It shows in the manual but sadly doesn't have one.
If i use the tf-card that comes with the console, i can use start+select to exit a game. When i put a brand new (better quality) sd-card it forgets the configuration and i cannot exit or save a game. I went in the options and reconfig all hotkey combination and still couldn't make it to work. The fn button is a must and i have both the r36s and r36h, and when it comes the time to chose the r36s is faster in the intros/cutscene with the fn function.
It is valid to note that to play fighting games, the position of the sholder buttons is key and the r36h have the advantage.
My favorite color is green and it looks quite good.
The screen has good brightness, I recommend lowering it to extend the battery life.
It's a 4-panel, so I could change the Operating System to PAN4ELEC.

The r36h is a great little handheld, especially the price. It'll play everything up to ps1 just fine.
I'm really happy with these consoles, but don't forget to backup the boot partition as an image using win32diskimage. Also please backup the easyroms folders !

It comes completely updated and comes great, a lot of games, although they are not a European region, they are a US region and they all come in English.
The first thing to do is change the entire operating system and the rooms to a quality SD because it comes with a Chinese SD. But everything else is perfect.
